Skills I need to learn to be a web developer

As I look through job postings for entry level or junior web developers, there are a few highly desired skills that I don't have yet. So I've started on a plan to master them. They are:
  • creating web graphics (I'll be using Gimp and Inkscape)
  • Slicing PSD files into websites
  • Bootstrap
  • Mastering jQuery (I used this in my Javascript programming class last semester, but I need to master it)
  • Github
  • Wireframing and wireframing software
  • How to make Wordpress themes from scratch
  • How to modify Wordpress themes
  • How to create Wordpress plugins
I've already started learning how to use Gimp and Inkscape from this Youtube channel. The creator is a Philly native, just like me. I also found out that Github offers free student accounts so I set that up today as well.

As for the Wordpress skills, I've found a great Dummies book (I borrowed it from the library first, just to be sure. Gotta try before I buy)

Once I have tasks on a list, I get them done. So this is my "web developer skill to-do list" for now. I'm sure I'll be adding to the list soon.
