This week I my sales came from a combination of platforms and methods:
- One used item sale from Ebay
- Two handmade item sales via Etsy
- One sale from my notary business
- Drove Uber for a few hours earlier in the week
- One dropshipping sale from Ebay!
I'm excited about the dropshipping sale because it was an experiment that's been on the plans for a while. I opened a new seller account to solely focus on a niche. I only had one item listed that expired and I relisted it. Then it sold this week! The dropshipper shipped it quickly, but not via the method I indicated so we'll see how long it takes to arrive. Ebay allows you to list 50 items per month for free so I started listing more items. However when I got to the fifth item, I had to provide some "business" information in order to continue listing. Its been two days and I'm still waiting to hear back from Ebay so I can list more. However this has motivated me to open other niche stores on Ebay and Etsy. The cost is very low for the exposure provided, and I can market to the customers I gain through the platforms when I host my own store. So excited!
Update: While Ebay lets you list the first 50 items for free, new accounts are limited to listing five items until they're approved for a selling limit increase. I was able to get this new account approved for listing limit increase today, all it took was a five minute phone call. Now I'm about to use up that listing limit!
