Finding free tutorials after paying for a course

I'm currently obsessed with learning how to code HTML emails because 1) email coding is a good first step in a web development career and 2) it seems pretty easy to do since all I need to know is HTML, tables and CSS. So I paid $25 for a course, only to find a couple of free tutorials that seem to be better than the paid course. The paid course is taking me forever because I have to pause the video and code along with the instructor. If I have to stop and come back to the video later, the video restarts so I have to forward to where I left off (if I remember). And the instructor is not the greatest speaker. However the instructor does share some very good tips and resources.

The course is pretty decent, but I now realize that I do better with printed tutorials. That's probably why I love books so much. I've long prided myself on being able to learn anything if there's a book that shows how to do it. Coding is no different. I have a nice collection of Dummies series books that I've learned a lot from. I taught myself HTML years ago using a Dummies book.

So I'm going to glance through the printed HTML email tutorials first, and if they seem just as good, I'm might get a refund for the course. I'm not wasting money if I don't have to.
